Not coping with Co-Parenting at Christmas?
Co-parenting at Christmas can be difficult. Conflict and communication issues can arise when discussing how to share parenting over Christmas.
It’s hard to always hide miscommunication and conflict from children, more often than not they are able to pick up that something is wrong. Conflict is inevitable in even the healthiest of relationships. However, the way that parents work out their differences can impact their kid’s for life. It’s important that when conflict does arise, you are able to deal with it effectively to prevent arguments and fall outs arising.
Relate NI believe that children who grow up with parents who have low parental conflict, whether together or separated, enjoy better physical and mental health, higher educational attainment and a lower likelihood of engaging in risky behaviour.
